The Chill-Its 6225 Premium Phase Change Cooling Vest is made to house phase change cooling packs to help keep workers cooler, safer and more productive. The phase change cooling material maintains a 64°F (18°C) temperature for up to four hours when activated. The vest is made of a modacrylic cotton blend flame-resistant fabric which meets ASTMF1506 requirements as well as classified to NFPA (CAT1). The Chill-Its 6240 Phase Change Cooling Vest Extenders provide 3.5 of extension to the Chill-Its Phase Change Vests (excluding lightweight vests) to increase the size. They are made of 100% elastic with hook and loop extenders to attach to the vests.

There are many ways to activate your cooling vest. Simply place the four removable packs in a cooler of ice water for five minutes; freezer for eight minutes; refrigerator for 12 minutes; or near an air conditioner for one hour. The cooling pack should be washed by hand with a mild detergent and warm water. Do not machine wash or machine dry. The fabric vest is machine washable with mild soap.

A water-repellant liner keeps the interior of the vest as dry as possible when activated, though wearers should expect to feel some dampness/wetness. In order to activate, soak in water for two to five minutes. The embedded polymers will retain water for up to four hours of cooling relief. Hand wash as needed and hang to dry.

Machine wash as needed and hang dry for longest life, the vest will stiffen as it dries. All PVA materials dry stiff, to reactivate and soften, run under water.
